I spent ages trying to think of a piece of jewellery that depicted both a dream and reality. I seemed only to come up with very human forms as dreams are a personal experience. But using aspiration as a theme came with it the idea of a down-and-out living in the squalor of a back alley and dreaming of living in the grandeur of a mansion. I realised the further I went into the project and the more detail I added, how brilliant the program 3DESIGN is as it can capture everyday objects as well as jewels and make them both look so realistic. Thanks to this competition I have practised and learnt more 3ESIGN skills and opened up my mind to a wider choice of influences which will help my jewellery design.

J’ai passé beaucoup de temps à chercher une pièce en bijouterie qui représenterait à la fois le rêve et la réalité. Je revenais toujours à des formes très humaines comme les rêves sont des expériences très personnelles. En choisissant une aspiration personnelle comme thème, l’idée d’une vie dans une grande demeure se concrétisait. J’ai réalisé que le plus de détails j’ajoutais 3DESIGN capturait parfaitement les objets du quotidien comme il traduit les bijoux et les rend si réels. Grâce à ce concours, ma maîtrise de 3DESIGN s’est révélée, j’ai ouvert mon esprit à un choix d’inspiration et d’influences beaucoup plus large et cela va m’aider dans le design de bijoux.
